Elizabeth Jweinat, aka Lizzy Sour, is an interdisciplinary artist based in Providence. Working across murals, sculpture, printmaking, painting, apparel, and installation, her practice is rooted in bold forms, typography, color, pattern, and freehand drawing. Her work often brings playful and graphic visual language into public and everyday spaces, exploring the relationship between art, identity, and place.

Jweinat holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and a master’s in art and design education from RISD. She has maintained a longstanding connection to Providence’s arts community, beginning as a young artist and continuing through her work as an educator, mentor, curator, community organizer, and practicing artist. Her work is grounded in expanding access to creative opportunities and supporting the development of artists and arts communities.
