Drop-in Hours to Tour the Building, March 24 and 28

The State Arts Council is currently seeking artists for a new artwork to be commissioned for Rhode Island College’s Craig-Lee Hall, through the state’s public art law which mandates that 1% of all state capital construction and renovation funds be allocated to artwork for public facilities. 

Eligibility: This Call is open to all artists regionally from the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, and Maine. Those currently enrolled in undergraduate-level programs are not eligible to apply. 

The budget for acquisition of artwork is $100,000. The building offers opportunities for both interior and exterior works.

The deadline is April 15

Optional drop-in hours to view the building and discuss the opportunity will start in the lobby of the Craig-Lee Hall on the RIC campus, 600 Mt Pleasant Ave, Providence, on Sunday, March 24, noon-2 p.m., and Thursday, March 28, 5-7 p.m.
