A successful 2025 Arts and Humanities Month

Thank you to all for helping us celebrate October’s National Arts and Humanities Month and participating in the many arts, culture, and humanities-focused events throughout the state as well as continuing your own artmaking. We hope you will continue to spread the word about the importance of arts and humanities throughout the coming year and beyond.

One of the many events that stood out during the month-long celebration was a workshop-networking convening -- in partnership with R.I. Humanities, RI250 Commission and RISCA. The convening, held in East Greenwich at the Varnum Memorial Armory Museum, sold-out quickly with more than 80 leaders from arts, culture and humanities-related organizations gathering to learn about best practices to integrate their work with America’s 250th anniversary.

RI250 Commission's Lauren Fogarty provided a presentation, which punctuated how the arts, culture, and humanities sectors can successfully connect to the upcoming commemoration. Learn more about RI250 and its engagement grants.

If you missed the Cultural Convening, check out the video presentation; View photos from the convening and Read the Governor’s proclamation for Arts and Humanities Month.
