Judy Cooney is the Administrative Assistant for the Rhode Island Film and Television Office. She works alongside Executive Director Steven Feinberg and Deputy Director Scott Saracen to provide filmmakers with the best possible experience while making movie and television productions in the Ocean State. Her job entails a variety of high-level responsibilities and day-to-day activities. Whether processing tax incentive applications, issuing film permits, acting as a liaison for safety protocols with our local police and fire departments, assisting with media events, reading scripts and script analysis, monitoring sets, or managing the organizational needs of the office, it is never a dull moment and always a chance to learn something new.

Judy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. She is a retired American Airlines flight attendant and her career also included working in the Administration Office of a large country club as well as Sales and Customer Service for a distributing company.  She is passionate about film and television production and her family.  She resides in Cranston with her husband (John).
