Feedback Session: General Operating Support for Organizations Application

This session is for applicants to the General Operating Support for Organizations (GOSO) program at the April 1, 2023 deadline. This will be an opportunity for you to provide feedback on the application. RISCA staff will edit the GOSO application (and perhaps make very small tweaks to the guidelines) based on applicant and panelist feedback.

If you can't attend this live feedback session, you can also email Acting Deputy Director Todd Trebour at todd.trebour@arts.ri.gov to a) setup a time to chat one-on-one and b) provide written feedback on the program.

This session will NOT be an opportunity for you to discuss the panel's funding decisions or comments from the April 1, 2023 grant deadline.

BACKGROUND ON GOSO APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

The structure of these applications was based on the new Project Grant for Organizations application, which was developed in the spring of 2021 by a ten-person, BIPOC-majority working group comprised of individuals from around the state.

RISCA hosted three GOSO application review sessions in January 2022. Prior to these review sessions, GOS-O applications were also reviewed by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, ISO Arts Consulting, local RI grantmakers, and fellow state arts agency colleagues. RISCA staff took the feedback received in these review sessions to create final versions of the application, which opened February 15, 2022.
