A Cultural Call and Response
As part of Arts and Humanities Month in Rhode Island, RISCA, RI Humanities, RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission, Rhode Island 250, and the RI Secretary of State’s office are partnering to co- host a program featuring cultural leaders in conversation on the importance of preserving and activating cultural heritage.
The discussion will be led by Harold Steward, Executive Director, New England Foundation for Arts, and Silvermoon LaRose, Assistant Director, Tomaquag Museum.
The event will be held in the Library at the Rhode Island State House, 82 Smith St., Providence.
In recognition of the 250th anniversary of our country, we will take this opportunity to reflect on stories that make up our shared history; how those stories are expressed; and what we choose to carry forward into the next 250 years.
Free event; street parking available.
Register on Eventbrite. Space is limited.
