Watertown Seeks Mural Artists for Public Art Commission about Arshile Gorky

Watertown Public Arts & Culture Committee (PACC) calls for mural artists to submit qualifications to develop a proposal and install a mural along the Watertown Cambridge Greenway under Grove Street.  PACC is collaborating with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to commission a mural that commemorates the life and work of Arshile Gorky, who, notably, forged the birth of Abstract Expressionism in the United States. City of East Providence seeks artists for a mural and utility box painting program

Beautility Box Mural Program calls for artists over the age of 18 to submit design proposals to paint public art murals on municipal utility boxes. Selected artists will receive a $900 stipend for labor and materials. The deadline to apply is Monday, July 15, at 11 a.m. Additional information, guidelines, and instructions on how to apply 

The Public Arts and Culture Committee of Watertown, Mass., has a call for public art initiative

Expert Pairings invites artists and scientists to explore the ecology of Watertown and collaborate on temporary public artwork. Artists and scientists can submit qualifications individually or as a pair. Individuals will be paired so that each Expert Pairing features one artist and one scientist as lead collaborators.

Call for Artists: Warwick Center for the Arts

WCFA is seeking original artworks and concepts for the upcoming juried exhibit "Cartoonists, Graphic Novelists and Comic Artists Showcase," an exhibition featuring artwork from those individuals who work in the field of visual storytelling and illustration.

Deadline: July 11, 2024. Entry deadline (digital images, artist statement, and fee)

Eligibility: This call is open to all Cartoonists, Graphic Novelists, Comic Book Artists, Illustrators, and Zine Makers, ages 18+, living or working in the New England region. Artists at all levels of professionalism and experience are invited to submit work in all mediums.
